Pastor’s Class

Our former Lead Pastor, Pastor James Amend, leads an education hour on church history to see how the American Baptist Church came to be through the various denominational splits throughout history, and the history of Southside Church.

Equipped to Lead: Building a Christ-Centered Ministry

Leadership within the church is not about power or status; it is about servanthood, stewardship, and building up the body of Christ. The bible provides a clear framework for leadership that promotes unity, spiritual growth, and effective ministry.

Our six-week leadership series is focused on discussing a biblical model of leadership and ministry, recognizing the roles, gifts, and responsibilities that equip the church to grow in unity and maturity for God’s glory.

School Food Bags

Children are our future. Our children should not go hungry. Each week Southside Church provides 45 food bags to local elementary school children who otherwise would not have enough food for them or their families over the weekend.

Blessing Bags

Homelessness is a continuing problem in our community. Our blessing bags provide a way for our congregation to help those in need by providing food and water to those struggling that we may pass on the street.

Tri Cities Chaplaincy

The Tri Cities Chaplaincy began in 1971 when a group of Tri Cities churches established a program to provide outreach to people not being served in jails and nursing homes, and to people coping with dying or the loss of a loved one. Today they continue to provide compassionate care to all who need it. Whether you need in-home hospice care, Hospice House, palliative care, grief support, or spiritual care, their comprehensive team of experts are focused on providing one goal: providing expert care so you can make the most of each moment and live your best life. Southside Church is proud to support this their mission and the vital services they offer to our communities.
